Cod Hole Dive Adventures operates to remote regions of Australia's Great Barrier Reef. We dive with the giant Potato Cod at the Cod Hole, feed the sharks in the crystal clear waters of Osprey Reef in the Coral Sea, and visit some truly amazing sites with a large variety of beautiful corals, fish and marine life up and down the Ribbon Reefs. During the exciting shark feed it is most possible to see Grey reef, Silvertip and Hammerhead sharks.

Our dive boat is a large and comfortable dive vessel with air-conditioned cabins and plenty of room for your dive gear on the dive deck. Our friendly and experienced dive crew will look after all your needs, and after a hard day’s diving our qualified chef’s culinary delights, prepared & served from a commercial grade galley, will satisfy your appetite. We operate 365 days per year. We depart on Tuesdays on our 4 day/3night trip to the Cod Hole and Northern Great Barrier Reef, and then again on Fridays for our 5day/4night trip to the Cod Hole and Coral Sea.

ALL our dives are in areas with beautiful live coral and large varieties of reef fish!

Join us on the Great Barrier Reef's newest luxury expedition style yacht, launched in early January 2004, designed specifically with extended expeditions to remote dive sites in mind. At 30m long (100ft), 8m wide, a draft of 3.8m, four decks and weighing in at 295 tonnes, our boat certainly has the dimensions to qualify as a ship.

All the cabins on the top deck have own ensuites with DVDs and ocean views. The cabins are fully air-conditioned with personal controls. For the budget-minded diver there are economical fourshare cabins available with share facilities. A huge comfortable saloon features two large plasma screens, an internet cafe with the latest hi-tech digital imagery. The vessel has a unique stabilised hull design to smooth out those Coral Sea trips, as well as features like bow and stern thrusters for safe manoeuvring while getting our divers as close to the reef as possible. The electronics package for navigation and entertainment is second to none, and the overall design philosophy is one of greater comfort through larger cabins and lounges along with higher levels of service and catering.

Having run Taka II to the same remote Northern Great Barrier Reef and Coral Sea Reefs for over a decade and taking over 30,000 divers the team at Taka Dive has gained invaluable experience diving the reefs in this area.

All trips include freshly prepared meals, linen, tanks, weights and transfers to/from Cairns city accommodation.
